Does anyone know a recipe for a single pour parrifin candle wax for containers?
I just recently starter pouring my own candles, and am having trouble with the recipe that I was given when I purchased my set-up. The lady promised me this was single pour, but I'm getting holes in the center and it's sinking. I'm almost embarrassed to tell folks I poured these candles myself...HELP! I am heating the jars before I pour into them; pouring the wax at 190 degrees, allowing them to cool at room temperature, am I doing somthing wrong? Do you burn your decorative candles?
I tend to think that the wick should be lit at least once, even if you blow it out quickly to avoid ruining the design of the wax. But decorative wax candles that have never been lit even once just bug me. And don't let them be dusty--that's even more foul. What's the opinion of the group? How do I clean up Candle Wax?
Wow do I have a mess! 2 candles I was burning in my home last night got knocked over by accident. The candles had been burning for about 2 hours when this happened so there was lots of melted wax in the containers. It spilled all over a light beige painted wall and a light beige colored carpeting....... It's already dry. It's a pretty large amount and cranberry in color, (yeah, aren't I just the luckiest?). Can I use candle wax as snowboard wax?
