Why do Glade "soy" candles still contain Paraffin wax?

The ingredients on Glade’s soy candles say, "Soybean oil, paraffin wax, fragrance, dyes, stabilizers". I thought soy candles were supposed to be FREE of paraffin? I’m looking out for my birds here. I only want to light safe candles.

You could switch to vegetable oil in oil lamps. There are many types of decorative oil lamps, from tiny ones that fit inside glass containers to larger stand alone oil lamps made of glass or pottery, etc. But you can use vegetable cooking oil, it burns cleanly, and is safe around pets. Any open flame in a home is a danger to pets and people. Be sure to put out any open flame before leaving a room for a long time or whenever you go out of the home.
